The HP Photosmart 7550 is a top class photograph printer with a color LCD for viewing your photos. The 7550 gives you seven colors in three ink cartridges, one black (HP # 56), one tri-color (HP # 57) and a three color photo cartridge (the HP # 58). It actually can only hold two cartridges at a time, so with it you have a choice of using the photo cartridge (HP 58) or the black cartridge (HP 56). Now there are some "nuances" you should be aware of with the HP Photosmart 7550:
The print quality of the HP Photosmart 7550 is stunning, but the feed mechanism for the printer can be problematic, and become expensive. One owner stated he needed to watch it carefully and "I've learned to NEVER let it grab the last sheet of paper. That never, ever prints correctly."
A significant difference in HP inkjet printer cartridge replacement is another big difference that has been noted. As a comparison example: the HP Deskjet 722c inkjet cartridges from HP contain 30 ml of ink and cost around $35. The inkjet cartridges for the HP Photosmart 7550 cost about the same, but only hold 17 ml. This can be a HUGE difference if you do a lot of high-quality photo printing!
Now there is an alternative to HP Inkjet Cartridges without compromising photo quality? Check out www.UniquePhotoPrinting.com for photo quality specialty inks without the expensive HP prices. UniquePhotoPrinting.com utilizes specially formulated inks you will not find in any other HP compatible inkjet cartridges. In addition, (secret technique here) they fill their inkjet cartridges all the way - to the maximum the cartridge is designed to hold (often 2, 3, or even up to 4+ times more than HP fills the same cartridge with.) Additionally, they will still sell you that same "filled up" cartridge for less than HP will sell their's to you. The question is, do you value the HP brand name enough to pay significantly more for the same (and sometimes less) quality?
Seeing is believing, so UniquePhotoPrinting.com has developed their inkjet cartridge listing in a manner that allows you to compare the difference between theirs and HPs. Additionally, they have actual photographs printed using HP inkjet cartridges that you can compare to the same photograph printed using HP compatible inkjet cartridges from UniquePhotoPrinting.com.
Final Note: here's another issue "to boot". For best results, HP will recommend that you should purchase their expensive photograph printing paper. The specially formulated inks within UniquePhotoPrinting.com inkjet cartridges are designed to adhere to and be utilized with almost any of the available printable surfaces, including: photopapers (gloss, semi-gloss, satin, hi-gloss), film-clear, film-backlit, presentation bond, poster paper, outdoor media, canvas, vinyl, sticky-back vinyl, and even waterproof paper. You will not find that to be the case with all HP inks. |
